I was also excited to see that they announced the 1st Annual Wineglass 5K on Saturday. It'll be a nice shake-out run before Sunday. I will be returning to town all swagged out with goodies from the two races. The Wineglass was picked by Runner's World magazine as one of the races with the best swag.
Ian is taking his Air so I should be able to upload my Garmin data. Squee! I hate to wait for some reason. Everyone needs to know I ran 13.1 miles. NOW.
On the Aidez front, I finished up the back and started on the sleeves last night. I decided to do both sleeves at once since they are both the same. At least this was they will be identical.
The sleeves are not moving nearly as fast as the back, but I'm figuring it's from switching back and forth from ball to ball of yarn for each. Or that's just what I'll keep telling myself.
I also finished up a test knit for Melissa a few weeks ago. I had bought buttons that were too small so I ordered new ones. Which coincidently were the same buttons that Melissa used on her sweater. They are still not here. I got tired of waiting so I temporarily sewed on the original buttons.
The sweater is Hemingway. I used Malabrigo, which I know I am crazy, while soft - not very kid-use friendly! But I think we can get a lot of use out of this in the coming weeks, look how far the sleeves are rolled up! I believe it is set for a mid-October release, but don't hold me to it.
Everyone have a great weekend! I'm ready to get on the road!

Good luck today Sara!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Aidez looks wonderful and so does Hemingway.
Thank you so much! I get so excited when she cooperates with FO pics! Hemingway was quick and fun, I have done 2 of Melissa's sweater with a similar design.
DeleteI'll be ready to get back to my Aidez on Monday!
Your Aidez is coming along quite nicely and I look forward to seeing it all done!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm hoping to have it finished by Halloween.
DeleteIt looks like you are getting great stitch definition! I bet it's going to be super squishy in Baby Alpaca Grande!
